Sheriff Labrador is the main protagonist character of Safety Sheriff Labrador. As sheriff of Forest Town, his main goal is to protect the safety of all its residents.

Appearance

He is a Labrador retriever dog who has a mango shaped head, beige fur, a light blue cap with the logo of BabyBus, a dark blue outfit with a light blue necktie and a paw-shaped medal.

Personality

Sheriff Labrador is a smart, witty, and extremely intelligent Labrador retriever. He is also wise, caring, brave, protective, and serious. He is the leader of the police station, as well as a detective, due to his skills in analyzing and collecting evidence. He is incredibly strong and athletic, as he can swim and lift both Officer Dobermann and Officer Papillon.

Relationships

Officer Doberman

Officer Doberman (Dobie) is Sheriff Labrador's colleague, meaning they work together. They are best friends and understand each other quite well. Labrador often acts like a mentor towards Dobie, as he is still in training era. They solve nearly every mystery and crime together.

Officer Papillon

When Papillon is new, Sheriff Labrador gladly welcomes her to the job. The two of them work well together, but sometimes Papillon gives him unfinished or defective inventions. Sheriff Labrador treats Papillon and Doberman as if they were his "students", creating a close bond between the three.

• Sheriff Labrador is the oldest of the members, as he is 26, Dobie is 24, and Papillon is 22 (as of 2026).
• He has a striking resemblance to Dog Man, a character created by American artist and author Dav Pilkey.
• His voice actor for the animated series is Michael Yantzi, and his voice actor for the podcast series is Gian Raffaele DiCostanzo.
• In the episode “Little Mole is Missing”, he was mistaken as Officer Doberman.
• In the episode "Ghosts on a Foggy Day", Papillon thought he was a flying mango and pulled his ears.
• Sheriff Labrador's parents call him "Little Mango" in the episodes "Real vs. Fake! Two Labradors!", "Special Agent", and other episodes where they appear.
• He lives in Forest Town. He, Dobie, and Papillon moved to Water City for a while, but have since moved back.
